I've seen a lot of Christmas haul posts flying about the bloggersphere. I think it's fair to say that my friends and family utterly spoilt me this year with some really thoughtful presents, but I decided to do a smaller post. I didn't want to ramble, or seem as though I was bragging, or offend anyone if I forgot to include something. So here we have my stocking fillers; all lovingly gifted to me by my parents, and all relevant to my blog!
I'd had my eye on the Victoria's Secret Victoria Eau de Parfum ever since my trip to America in September of last year. The thing that particularly attracted me to it was the fact that it has notes of creme brulée, so you can imagine how pleased it was when it turned up in my stocking! Although I wouldn't describe the scent as sweet, it is lovely and light and perfect for everyday use. I can't wait to sit the bottle on my shelf at uni - it's so dainty and pretty! The next couple of gifts were sneakily picked up by my mum while we were in Space NK together ("Emily, look away for a minute"). This winter I've been loving the snuggly nights in, so I'm really interested to give the 'Pillow Talk' Gift Set a go. I've never used a pillow spray before, but this comes with a 75ml bottle which is really little and subtle, so would sit quite nicely on anybody's bedside table. It also came along with Stress Less; an aromatic blend of oils that you rub onto your temples to further improve your chances of getting a peaceful night's sleep, or for an instant calming effect during the daytime. I'll let you know how I get on with them! The other thing from Space NK was the Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm which I am now using daily (you can read my full review (here).
Strictly speaking the final gift wasn't a Christmas present. My parents gave this to me in January after picking it up in the boxing day sales, so it was a huge surprise! I have never had a tablet before, but I think that the 64G iPad Mini is going to make my life a lot easier. I often lug my laptop around Bristol just to do a bit of blogging, but the iPad should be a lot easier to pop into my handbag before I go out. I've even spent an evening downloading a multitude of apps that I think will improve the uni and blogging sides of my life immensely! I'd be really interested on hearing what everyone's favourite apps for their tablet are.
I hope that you enjoyed that little peek into my 2013 stocking. I was absolutely spoilt rotten this Christmas and am so, so grateful for all of the wonderful people that I have in my life. A special thank you to my parents who were thoughtful enough to get me these gifts, and of course to anyone else who was generous enough to get me a present however big or small. I am feeling incredibly blessed this year.
