My beloved smoothies, Christmas jumper & beauty goodies // Embroylisse Lait-Creme Concentre (with Temptress on my nails) // 'Sugar Plum' Revlon Lip Butter and 'Temptress' Nail Varnish by No 7 // A snap from a little November stroll through Bristol
Sometimes I feel like I need to delve outside the world of makeup on this blog and just do something fun. Don't get me wrong, I love writing all about beauty, but recently I've been wanting to put more of a personal spin on Pretty Please. So, since my monthly favourites posts have been leaving me feeling a little uninspired recently, I've decided to branch out and give you an all-rounder favourites post!
It's been a beautiful month here in Bristol. Sure, we had a near-on hurricane warning (I heard a couple of bins got knocked over?) and some nasty drizzles, but there's also been a lot of sunshine, too. I even managed to grab a few snaps of it on my fancy schmancy new camera! I got the Canon EOS 600D for my birthday at the end of October, and I've been having lots of fun getting to grips with it and it's really reignited my love of photography and making videos for YouTube! In other news it's been getting nice and Christmas-y round here and I'm loving it. The lead up to Christmas is the best part, in my opinion. I've even bought my very first grown up Christmas jumper!
If I'm in my flat, though, I've almost been living in my onesie to save money on heat. Slightly off-season, but something that I've been enjoying nonetheless has to be the Sainsbury Strawberry & Banana Smoothie - hey, I said that these were going to be random. It just has that extra zing that wakes up my tastebuds in a way that my orange juice just doesn't quite live up to. Plus it's £2 a bottle, which is a little pricey for a student budget, but if you buy it as a little treat once every couple of weeks then it won't break the bank.
Let's look at the regulars, shall we? When it comes to the world of beauty there are a couple of new products that have made it into my regular routine. The first product you'll have seen me waffle on about a bit before; it's the Revlon Lip Butter in 'Sugar Plum'. First of all, cute name. Second of all, gorgeous plum colour and lovely, glossy, moisturising effect that makes it easy to slap on anywhere!
Speaking of moisturing - smooth transition time - there's a new moisturiser in Emily town, and it's called Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré. Sounds pretty fancy right? Well, it isn't really. It's fragrance-free, paraben-free and suitable for all skin types. This has seen me through the oily-to-dry skin period that happens as the weather gets colder. It's rare that I'll write about a skincare product before I've used it for at least a month, but I love this so much that I'll be writing a full post in a couple of weeks' time! Finally, I've fallen in love with a nail colour from No 7 of all places! I didn't even know that No 7 did nail polishes, but I got given the shade Temptress for my birthday and it's my absolute favourite at the moment. It's a very deep reddish purple, and from the swatches I've seen it looks very much like Chanel's Rouge Noir. To be honest the product itself really isn't that good, but the colour is beyond perfect.

As a result of the meet up, I got into checking Liza's (who organised the first event) blog quite a lot. It's called Glam Beautys and definitely deserves a mention. She's got her writing and photography style down to a T, and I check back nearly everyday to look for new content! Definitely worth a read, even if only to get broody over her adorable eight-month-old son Vinny!
