September Loves

I’m finding it really difficult to believe that summer is long gone and autumn is now in full swing. Is it actually October already? I can’t say that I’m fully disappointed - after all, it is my birthday month. Anyway. September was a great month for me; I got to go to Florida again with my family where I did some lovely things, and I’ve moved into my brand new flat at uni! Plus, Phil has now moved to Bristol where he is starting a course, too. It’s pretty exciting stuff! In terms of beauty products I’ve got quite a few new favourites to add to the batch, so let’s get on with it!

Burts Bees Baby Bee Original Nourishing Lotion - This was something that I just picked up quickly when I ran out of my usual moisturiser. I was drawn to it because it was free of alcohol and parabens and looked like it was a nice, natural product - especially as it is designed for babies. I’m so, so happy and think that this may be my favourite ever body moisturiser to date! It’s in a tube, which is great, and it doesn’t take much to really leave your skin supple.
Essie Nail Polish in Blanc - White manis seem to have been all the rage this summer, and I have to say that I hopped on the band wagon pretty late. I picked this up in America and it has been my most worn polish since. It takes a couple of layers to be transparent but it goes with every colour that I own and even managed to help bring out the little tan that I did accumulate when I was on holiday. I’m so happy that pastels are in this autumn so that I can get a load more wear out of it before spring!
Origins Clear Improvement Face Mask - I had never owned a proper face mask before I picked this up on a whim at the Cosmetic Company for a discounted price. I’ve used it a few times now and definitely can notice a difference in my skin. Straight after using it my face feels fresh and plump, and the day after I can definitely notice a reduction in the blemishes on my face. Using the mask is also a lot easier than I anticipated, and there’s something that feels quite lavish about owning one! Expect to hear more about this one.
Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturiser - This is an old favourite that I’ve finally been able to afford to repurchase for the first time in a couple of years. I am already totally in love again. The product feels so light on my face and provides a nice boost of extra moisturisation whilst also giving a good bit of coverage.

Lavanila Laboratories The Healthy Deodorant - I came across this mini deodorant on my way to the counter in Sephora. I thought that it looked so cute, and I loved the idea of having a vanilla deodorant. After seeing that not only was the product pretty, but it was free from any harsh chemicals I was sold. I don’t think that I’ve ever been so excited about a deodorant before! I use this on days when I shave my underarms so that I know I don’t have an increased chance of any nasties finding their way into my bloodstream. If you’re interested the product promises to be free from petrochemicals, phthalates, propylene glycol, mineral oils, silicone, synthetic dyes, sulfates and parabens (and aluminium ). It’s definitely not as heavy-duty as some of my other deodorants, but I love it just the same.

I hope that you guys have had a lovely September whether you're at school, work or whatever you're doing. Here's to a great October!

Have you discovered any great products this September?

Essie's Blanc seems gorgeous. I'm not a big fan of the LM Tinted Moisturizer, sadly it didn't work for me xx

Oh no what a shame :( there are so many Laura Mercier products I'm dying to try out, but I'd hate to spend so much money on something for it to not work out! x

It's definitely great for if you get dry skin over winter time! That's what I'm looking forward to using it for x
