Olympia Beauty

One of the reasons that I got started with blogging was because I really wanted to be able to meet more people who enjoy beauty as much as I do. I’ve been blogging for around nine months now and have spoken to some really lovely girls, but it wasn’t until Sunday at Olympia beauty that I actually finally got to meet one of them! Olympia Beauty is a beauty exhibition that takes place once a year at Kensington Olympia showcasing all sorts of beauty products from OPI polishes to salon chairs for professionals. So, I popped along to the first day of the event with Kimberley from Oh, that Kimberley! and we wandered about the place together for the day!

The venue was absolutely fantastic and it would definitely have taken the full two days of the event to appreciate absolutely everything, but Kimberley and I were happy to have a look around and return to our favourite stands at the end. Most of the products there were discounted in some way, which would have been such a brilliant opportunity to take advantage of if it weren’t for the fact that I had just spent so much money on makeup in America. Because of this I was very fortunate to be given a free goodie bag because I was a visiting blogger! More on that later, though...

Some of mine and Kimberley’s favourite stands were the Nyx stand, the Aussie Bodycare stand and the Essie stand. There were also a whole load of brands that were not as well known, and if I’d had a little more spending money I would have loved to try some of them. The only thing that I ended up buying was the Essie Super Duper Top Coat which I had had my eye on for a while!

Now we get onto the haul-y bit of the post. I didn’t actually know that the bloggers got a free goodie bag, but Kimberley and I were lucky enough to be given this! I’ve already tried the Gelish Nourish Cuticle Oil* which feels lovely. I'm paritcularly looking forward to having a look at some of the skincare products, but since I have such sensitive skin I may give a couple of bits and pieces to some of my friends. I was also absolutely ecstatic to see the Australian Bodycare Tea Tree Oil Hand and Body Lotion* in there as I absolutely love the smell of the products. I can't wait to give it a try, and I feel very lucky to have been given such a great range of products to try out. I will report back on some of my favourites to you!

Have any of you been to any beauty exhibitions before?
