Autumn Nail Picks

Hey guys! So I feel a bit bad as I've been slacking a little on the blog front recently, but I've been trying to get into the swing of things at uni as my workload has increased significantly this year. Anyway, enough excuses. Today I have put together a collection of my nail polishes that I think are perfect for Autumn 2013! Mostly I tend to associate autumn with deeper, richer colours that transition you from the bright shades of summer to Christmas-y tones. This autumn, however, pastels are also very in and so I've tried to include both the on-trend and the traditional.

Fishnet Stockings by Essie - This is a classic autumn shade, in my opinion. I remember looking for a shade like this last year, but I've had this for about a month now. It's a beautiful deep red, close to a maroon colour, which I feel will be timeless and something that I can wear through winter and even next year, too.

No More Film by Essie - I really wanted to find a deep purple colour as I feel like it can both look sultry and fun at the same time. This shade fits the bill perfectly, although it's very dark it has a brightness to it that makes it fun to wear from day to day.

Black by Barry M - I was never really a big fan of black polish, but I love how glossy it looks when it's on. It actually makes for a really pretty manicure; it goes with just about any outfit and is a real contrast to my fair skin.

Naughty Nautical by Essie - This shade actually came out with one of Essie's summer ranges. I found it a little deep for what I was looking for over some of the summer months. Now that the weather is a little more grey it makes for the perfect shade to brighten up your look a bit!

Blanc by Essie - Pastels are on trend this autumn which, living in a country where it's already pretty cold, seems a little strange to me. I usually associate pastels with spring, but it definitely cheers me up to wear some cute, girly colours this time of year. The white mani was everywhere this summer, so for me it's nice to be able to carry it on for an extra few months.

What's your favourite nail polish at the moment?
